OCW Donation Method

You can use the following methods to donate：

Domestic Donation

Cash

Please deliver it (or send it in cash bag) to “NYCU Social Responsibility Development Office” at 1001 University Road, Hsinchu City; one can also contact our office beforehand, someone will pick up the donation. Please specify “OpenCourseWare (OCW)”.

Cheques/Postal Money Orders

Please make your cheque payable to “National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University” and indicate a statement in the bill making it non-negotiable, then send it by registered mail to “NYCU Strategic Development Office” at 1001 University Road, Hsinchu City.

Postal Giro

Account name: “National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University”. Account number: “19403386”. Please indicate “OpenCourseWare (OCW)” in the “Communication” section on the postal giro slips.

Bank Wire Transfer

Account name: “National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University”. Remittance bank: “Hsinchu Branch of E.SUN Commercial Bank”. Account number: “95500160500551”. Please indicate “OpenCourseWare (OCW)” in the “Remarks” section on the remittance slips.

ATM Transfer

Please follow these steps at an ATM with transaction function:

1. Insert debit card and enter passcode, then choose “Transaction” key.

2. Please enter bank code “808” (E. sun Bank Hsinchu Branch).

3. Enter account number “95500160500551”.

4. Enter donation amount.

5. Recheck for any errors then press “Enter” to finish the transaction.

Automatic Toll Machine in NCTU

Location: First floor of Auditorium, Guangfu Campus, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University The operation is as follow:

1. Select the “Individual donations” project.

2. Enter donor ID card number.

3. Enter donation amount.

After confirming the data is correct, press “Enter” to finish the transaction.

Foreign Donation

US region

NYCU currently works with CTUAFA as overseas donation synergy. Chiao Tung University Alumuni Foundation in America (CTUAFA) is a nonprofit foundation recognized by the USA government, thus tax credits will be given for donations to the CTUAFA, you are welcome to donate at any time. Regarding tax saving

Businesses or personal donations to public schools are regard as donation to the government. Inclusion of donation receipt in the year’s tax fee and deduction, deductions of any amount can be made in the income tax. However such tax savings are restricted to the year the donation was made. If estate or gift tax is involved, the donation will not be included in the final amount of the estate or gift, thus saving taxing from the estate or gift at any amount.
