Electromagnetics (I) - 103 Academic Year

Electromagnetic theory is the study of electric and magnetic fields and signals in space and time. It is fundamental to the applications of electric machines, wireless communications, opto-electronics, high speed circuit design, etc..
In the first semester of electromagnetic theory, static electrostatic and magnetic fields in space are discussed.

The concept of “fields” (spatial distribution of physical quantities) and important mathematic tools are emphasized.
Time-varying fields and Maxwell’s equations are introduced and briefly discussed at the end of the semester. Wave propagation phenomena will be discussed in Electromagnetics II.

課程目標
